ABOUT JONATHAN ROTH

Jonathan Roth is the executive producer of Roth Multimedia. Consulting on a variety of media projects, he is the executive producer of four national television programs currently airing on S-Vox-owned platforms, he is the Consulting Executive Producer Of Local Content at Joytv 10, and he is working alongside several other leading broadcasters and distributors developing new channel and programming concepts.

Formerly a producer and development officer with Peace Arch Entertainment's factual/reality production company, The Eyes, he produced a wide variety of programming for their clients, ranging from Discovery Channel and Travel + Escape to CBC and CPAC. Before moving to Peace Arch he was Senior Producer of Local Content and a member of the senior management team with
Rogers' former television property in British Columbia, OMNI/CHNU.10 (now owned by S-Vox) for three years. As part of his duties he was senior producer of the daily national prime time current affairs interview program, "The Standard", and was also senior producer of The Biography Channel's profile interview program, "People Uncut". Prior to joining OMNI/CHNU.10 and Biography he was a producer for three years with CTV's award-winning "Vicki Gabereau". During his tenure the program won a Gemini Award (Canada's equivalent of an Emmy Award) and multiple Leo Awards for "Best Talk Series". CTV afforded him several other opportunities, as he also produced morning newscasts for "CTV British Columbia", and freelanced as a field producer with "etalk Daily". Roth began his broadcasting career as a producer and webmaster for two years with CHUM's radio holdings in Vancouver: 103.5 QM/FM, CFUN 1410, and the TEAM 1040.

Roth has produced feature TV interviews with personalities such as current Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper, former Canadian Prime Minister Kim Campbell, HRH Prince Edward, primatologist Dr. Jane Goodall, former Canadian Foreign Minister Lloyd Axworthy, author Salman Rushdie, billionaire businessman Jim Pattison, adult film star Ron Jeremy, evangelical Christian leader Rev. Franklin Graham, and Nobel Peace Prize winner Dr. Shirin Ebadi. In December 2006 he secured/conducted an exclusive TV interview with Zimbabwe President Robert Mugabe - the controversial leader's first with Western media in over two years. The interview garnered international attention from outlets including the CBC, Associated Press, and various newspapers throughout North America, Africa, Europe, and Australia. A graduate from the British Columbia Institute of Technology's Broadcast Communications Program, Roth's training was from Canada's top broadcasting school.

An avid traveler, he has been to nearly two dozen countries spread throughout North America, Europe, Africa, and Asia, and has handled media-related projects in Egypt, Ethiopia, Israel, Jordan, Thailand, the United Kingdom, and Zimbabwe.

Roth lives with his wife and family near Vancouver, British Columbia.
